Join Susan, friend of Main Street, for Dinner with Friends! This time, we'll be at Main Street for a hands-on activity that Susan brings for the group!

This is our Dinner with Friends at Main Street, where volunteers assist program facilitator Susan Silverberg in Poppy Boy's Kitchen with hands-on cooking activities with members and facilitate conversation in small groups.

This is our Dinner with Friends outing, where we will be visiting a local restaurant. Volunteers engage in conversation and assist the program facilitator, Susan Silverberg, as needed. Volunteers are are responsible for purchasing their own meal.

This week we are having Fun with Poetry with Mama Peace

Step back in time at this week’s Friday Vibes: Roaring Twenties! Enjoy jazz music, strike a pose at our vintage photo booth, and sip fun mocktails as we celebrate the style and spirit of the 1920's. Dress up if you’d like and join us for a night of lively, retro fun!  

Volunteers will help decorate the room and set up and prepare the mocktail bar!  Stay for the event afterwards and dance your heart out!  

Step into a special edition of Friday Vibes—Join Main Street and Mama Peace in an evening where words take center stage and creativity flows freely. Gather with the community for a night of poetry, playful language, and hands-on collage-making that blends image and verse. Savor delicious pizza, share your voice, and lose yourself in the art of expression.

Join us for a fun, hands-on celebration of nature as we honor Earth Day and Arbor Day!  Get your hands dirty planting mini trees, create your own shimmering stained‑glass Earth, create your own magnets, and enjoy a lively round of bingo - all inspired by the beauty of our planet.

Volunteers will help set up, serve food, foster connection and conversation, assist with crafts and activities and clean up.

This week’s Friday Vibes is a Cherry Blossom Celebration!

Join us as we kick off Spring with a Cherry Blossom-themed Friday Vibes! Attendees will learn about the DC Cherry Blossoms and their history, engage in Cherry Blossom-themed crafts, and create some springtime inspired chalk art on Poppy Boy’s Patio!  

Volunteers will help  set up, serve food, foster conversation and connection and help with crafts and clean up. 

It's our biggest event of the week! If you enjoy a big crowd and fun activities to do with a group, we'd love to have you volunteer! We keep the themes fresh every week -- you'll always see something new at Friday Vibes.

Join Mama Peace for a local outing to Giuseppi’s Pizza in Rockville Town Center! Plan to meet Mama Peace and other members at the restaurant (199 E Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD 20850) to enjoy food and conversation.  

Participants will receive free pizza, salad, and soda, but are responsible for purchasing any additional food.

Our Member Advisory Sessions help us to hear directly from the community! If you enjoy supporting feedback collection efforts to learn from members what programs are their favorite versus what they'd like to see more of at Main Street, you'll be a great fit here!

Join us for this special edition of The Hang where we will be taking a guided walk around Rockville Town Square led by Bryan Barnett‑Woods, Rockville’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Coordinator. During this interactive tour, Bryan will highlight ongoing efforts to make walking, rolling, and biking safer and more accessible as part of Rockville’s Vision Zero commitment.

Participants will see real examples of pedestrian safety features while learning how these projects shape mobility throughout our community.

Bring your questions, your curiosity, and comfortable walking shoes!

Volunteers will join on a walk around Rockville Town Square with members to help facilitate engagement and pedestrian safety.
